Digital Construction Technologies Group announced the opening of its Argentinian office with Croatia in the pipeline, both offices integrate with the Group’s Dublin HQ. CEO Joseph Mady talks to Irish building magazine about the expansion.

Digital Construction Technologies (DCT) Group was established in Ireland in 2018 and specialises in the Commercial, Pharmaceutical and Data Centre sectors.

The DCT Group team provide a broad range of services across the digital construction area, including Building Information Modelling (BIM) Implementation, BIM Consulting, ISO 19650 Certification, MEP Coordination, Modeling Manufacturers Products, and traditional 2D CAD services.

DCT Group is a virtual design and construction consultancy firm, comprised of talented, industry innovators, striving to deliver the most dynamic and Integrated BIM process for clients, applying this to each and every project. The team are extremely passionate and endeavour to raise the awareness of digital technology throughout the construction industry. Their digital technology solutions enhance design, collaboration, and communication, strengthen decision making and maximises their client’s digital capabilities.

Expansion

DCT Group has experienced considerable expansion over the past two years with employment growing to over 20. With offices in Ireland, Argentina and soon Croatia, DCT Group has built up a reputation as the leaders in the virtual design and construction arena in a very short period of time.

Joseph Mady is the CEO of the Digital Construction Technologies Group. Joseph is a member of the CIF Lean Construction, Building Information Modelling (BIM), Innovation and Continuous Improvement Committee, a member of the NSAI Technical Committee on Building Information Modelling, and a member of the CitA Eastern BIM Region Steering Committee.

Speaking to Irish building magazine Joseph says, “In order to be at the forefront of digital construction, we must be strategically innovative to ensure we deliver the best service to our clients. Utilising the latest state-of-the-art hardware and software our experienced, knowledgeable and highly trained teams ensures DCT provide our clients with the highest level of cutting edge digital expertise.

“We are focused on being a diversified, global organisation that is not confined to any particular sector or region.

“Due to a massive skills shortage in relation to digital construction or experienced BIM staff in Ireland, we chose to go abroad to meet the growing demand from our clients for our expert digital services.”

The company is still very much committed to its Dublin roots and the head office will remain located in Glasnevin. Confident in the future for DCT Group Joseph says, “Because of our endeavour to raise the awareness of digital technology throughout the construction industry, we have been attracting more projects from markets outside of Ireland, particularly across Europe. Our new offices in Argentina and Croatia allow us to engage with a diverse range of international clients.”

Partnerships

It has been a busy two years for the Irish consultants. In October 2018 DCT Group’s partnership with BRE was announced. DCT Group is the official business partner for Ireland and offers a range of services in conjunction with BRE, including ISO 19650 Certification. DCT Group enables companies to attain ISO 19650 Certification, through assessing their capability from the integration of technology to staff skills and in house standards, methods and procedures (SMP) compliance. This stringent review offers an opportunity for improvement and ensures DCT Group clients are at the digital forefront.

In 2019, ‘The BIM Advantage Program’, a strategic partnership was formed between the Diatec Group and Digital Construction Technologies Group offering a collaborative approach to services and solutions to meet the changing landscape of Design and Construction Project Delivery.
