Can you describe your product versions?
Exactal’s flagship product is CostX®, an all-in-one estimating and takeoff platform designed to boost collaboration and improve efficiency. CostX® combines world-leading 2D estimating with 3D/BIM support, alongside integrated estimating spreadsheets, professional report production and a subcontractor comparison tool.
Providing software options at a range of price-points is important to Exactal, so users can access versions of our flagship software with different feature levels depending on their requirements. CostX 2D offers the same 2D capability, integrated workbooks and report production for users who don’t require 3D/BIM support or auto-revisioning, while CostX Takeoff and CostX Takeoff 2D are suitable for users who only need to perform measurement.
What makes CostX® stand out from the competition?
The current CostX® platform is the result of more than a decade of development and considered feedback, and now stands alone as an industry-leading solution for construction professionals. The 5D BIM functionality of CostX® outstrips other integrated software options – users can support 5D BIM through live-linked information that connects BIM files with user-defined rate libraries and workbooks. CostX®’s networked environment, combined with the power of BIM, allows users to collaborate seamlessly on a single model that is consistently updated. Interoperability is also a standout feature of CostX®, with a huge volume of drawing files and formats supported for both import and export. Can you describe what you will be exhibiting at CitA Tech Live?
Exactal’s UK/IRE team will be exhibiting our latest CostX® platform at CitA Tech Live. Some of the most recent additions to CostX® include an Auto Count feature, which allows for bulk counting of symbols on drawings through pattern matching, as well as the ability to use CostX® in the Cloud, including support for native cloud storage of drawing files through several cloud providers. As CitA Tech Live will deal with BIM innovations and improvements, attendees will be able to gain a better understanding of how CostX® utilises BIM for increased efficiency throughout a project lifecycle.
